BUSINESS RUN powered by CeBIT on 18 March

Hannover, Germany. Off with the office fashion wear – on with the running shoes. The “BUSINESS RUN powered by CeBIT” will be setting off again at 7 p.m. on 18 March. The run, which follows a route through the exhibition halls, has long since assumed cult status.

Each lap of 2.5 km may be contested by individual runners or teams and the race covers a maximum distance of 10 kilometers. The winner is the person or team with the fastest time. Companies are eligible for special points. This is a similar system as for the Hannover Marathon, where companies can be given points towards the award for “the most progressive” company.

The BUSINESS RUN has the motto “helping, sponsoring, connecting” and, in cooperation with the Business for Kids initiative, supports children and young people in need in Hannover and the Greater Hannover region.

Oliver Frese, member of the Managing Board at Deutsche Messe, believes that CeBIT is the perfect setting for the BUSINESS RUN. “Sporting spirit, enthusiasm and drive – these characteristics typify the IT sector and also provide the ideal basis for a successful BUSINESS RUN.” Frese explains: “The run through the exhibition halls, passing the stands of participating

companies, is a special experience. The atmosphere is great, with spectators cheering the runners on at every stage of the race. I am confident that the BUSINESS RUN in the midst of CeBIT 2015 will give everyone a shot of energy for the rest of the show.”

The course is more or less identical to the run last year but the indoor circuit has been extended, and now includes Hall 11.

There is an entry fee of 12 euros for anyone interested in taking part in the BUSINESS RUN. Full details and registration forms are available at www.cebit-run.de.
