The Salesforce Economy Will Create More than USD $67 Billion in New Business Revenues in India from 2019 through 2024: Research

Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, announced new research from IDC that finds Salesforce and its ecosystem of partners will create 548,400 new direct jobs and USD $67 Billion in new business revenues in India from 2019 through 2024.

Globally, manufacturing leads the way job creation with a forecast of 765,800 new jobs by 2024and finance leads in new business revenues with $224 billion by then. The study report also delves into specific high growth occupations, with AI specialist jobs growing at 44 percent and IoT related jobs growing at 38 percent annually.

Walmart Inc. Using Blockchain Technology for Traceability Project for Seafood from India

Walmart Inc. today announced that it is piloting blockchain technology for end-to-end traceability of shrimp sourced in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and shipped to select Sam’s Club locations in the U.S. The pilot project is the first known use of blockchain to track shrimp exports from the farmer in India to an overseas retailer. Ultimately, it will help seafood farmers in the region to strengthen the shrimp supply chain and reinforce customer trust in the product, helping promote India as a preferred source of seafood, while also enhancing food traceability and transparency for consumers in the U.S.

Intel Trains 150,000 Students and Developers in India; hosts AI DevCamp

ntel hosted its premier global AI developer event, the Intel AI DevCamp (Intel AIDC), in Bengaluru recently. Built by AI practitioners, the conference included an AI developer workshop providing 150 developers hands on experience using Intel’s AI hardware and software portfolio. Intel also announced that it has trained more than 150,000 developers, students and professors across 150 organizations in the country over the past two years.

Google To Help Students with Personalized Learning In Maharashtra

Maharashtra International Education Board (MIEB) has signed a collaboration agreement with Google for Education in India with the goal of advancing personalized learning for students, strong teacher professional development and world-class infrastructure for collaborative learning.  This collaboration agreement supports MIEB’s vision of adopting digital pedagogies and curriculum across Marathi medium schools in the State of Maharashtra that are affiliated with MIEB.
